Distance Learning (On-line Studies)

	ISLB offers distance studies for students who prefer e-learning and wish to complete their studies without leaving their place of residence. Distance studies are offered in a modern e-learning platform adopted to suit the most up-to-date learning requirements and to obtain an international degree.
	We also offer distance professional development courses for hospitality professionals. As of autumn 2011, ISLB is the exclusive provider of the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute’s (AHLEI) Hospitality Management Diploma and offers a range of AHLEI’s other professional hospitality courses and certification in Lithuania. AHLEI is the world‘s leading provider of education and training resources and the premier source of professional certification for the hospitality and lodging industry globally.

Two Bachelor degree programmes:

1. Tourism and Hospitality Management (180 ECTS) + AHLEI Hospitality Management Diploma

2.  Business Management (180 ECTS).

Study duration – 3 years (shorter or longer study periods are also possible). We are flexible in accommodating individual student needs – you can choose an individual study plan to suit your personal needs in terms of time or financial ability.

Tuition Fee: 209 Euro per course (15 courses per year/60 ECTS) - 2 500 Euro per year

Distance professional development courses with professional certification from AHLEI for hospitality professionals:

1. Certificate of Departmental  Specialization (5 courses, areas of specialization: Rooms Division Management, Food and Beverage Management, International Hotel Management, Marketing and Sales Management, Human Resources Management, Spa Management, Club Management)

2. Hospitality Fundamentals Certificate (6 courses)

3. Hospitality Operations Certificate (8 courses)

4. Hospitality Management Diploma (12 courses)

5. Food and Beverage Management Diploma (12 courses).

Tuition Fee: 200 Euro per course

Individual distance courses for hospitality professionals with certificates of completion from AHLEI in:

Rooms Division, Food and Beverage Management, International Hotel Management, Marketing and Sales, Human Resources, Accounting and Finance

How are distance studies organized?

Schedule: A semester is divided into 3-4 week periods of simultaneous intensive studies of two or three modules or courses with final exams or evaluation following every period.

Teaching methods: online lectures using videoconferences, online workshops (seminars), online exams, homework, project works, etc.

Students support system: a virtual learning environment with access to main study materials and information resources, a possibility to communicate with the teacher and fellow students.

What do you need?

All you need is a computer with an Internet connection, a web camera, a microphone and an email account. Any computer purchased within the last three to five years is likely to be able to access our virtual learning environment and all your course materials.

When do you have to learn?

You can learn where you want and when you want – you will have a 24-hour access to ISLB’s virtual learning environment. The virtual learning environment provides access to e-learning resources, supports on-line learning with video-conferencing lectures and workshops and allows interaction between you, your tutor and fellow students.
